There has never been a Narnia LEGO set, but that is something that a NarniaFan named Thomas has set out to change. In 2015 he designed his first LEGO model of Narnia’s famous wardrobe and published it to LEGO Ideas. The project gained 950 supporters, but fell short of the 10,000 supporter requirement to become a real LEGO set. He didn’t give up there because two years later he came up with an improved design and resubmitted his concept. Now after listening to the comments of fans like you he has just launched his best version yet. This is a larger more detailed model with flat decal tiles to recreate the wardrobe’s wooden carvings. This attention to detail will be appreciated by NarniaFans because just like the wardrobe from the movie these 14 rectangular tiles tell the story of The Magician’s Nephew. The 932 brick model was designed and rendered as a computer model using MecaBricks. For the first time Thomas has chronicled his art and design process in a free PDF:

LEGO Ideas has been bringing fan designed creations to life as real LEGO products since 2011 and successful projects include Research Institute, WALL•E Project, Doctor Who and Companions, and Tron Legacy. In order for Thomas’s wardrobe to be considered as an official LEGO set it must first get 10,000 votes from fans who support the project. It doesn’t cost anything to vote for the project, but you do need to register for a free LEGO account. This design was previously featured on NarniaFans and it is a much larger model featuring an animated diorama on the interior. On LEGO Ideas you can support as many projects as you like, so you are welcome to vote for more than one Narnia design. Just imagine… with your votes one of these fantastic models could become a real LEGO set!
