Legends of Narnia: “I haven’t time to tell it now, though it is well worth hearing”- April Fools 2026.

Well, here it is, friends of Narnia. We come to the end of another April Fool’s Day. It was a bit more low-key this year (especially compared to last year), and considering how the fans have been feeling for the past 365 days, I figured it was best to err on the side of caution and not poke the bear with any outlandish casting rumors and the like.

But I wanted to do something fun for the day, and I hope you can pardon me for that. For this year’s joke, I dug back into the archives for the old story about the rumored new Narnia novels and decided to run with it.

You can read the original post here:

So reiterate: GRRM is NOT overseeing a “Legends of Narnia” series with an all-star roster of talent, including Andrew Peterson, Bryan Davis, Kara and Rachelle Dekker, Kathy Tyers, and Karen Hancock. While those six authors are versed in fantasy, and if I were to pick authors to write new Narnia stories, they would make my first round draft picks, I think the comments indicated just why George RR Martin might be a bad choice for Narnia.

As always, there are easter eggs as far as my sources.

Nia Conners is named after Nia Wingfeather from Peterson’s The WingFeather Saga and Bonnie ( Silver) Conners from Davis’ Dragons in our Midst.

Annalee Grace is named for Annalee in Kara Dekker’s The Dream Travelers Quest and Grace in Rachelle Dekker’s The Girl Behind the Red Rope.

Brennan Abramms is named for Brennan Caldwell in Tyers’ Firebird novels and Abramm Kalladorne in The Legends of the Guardian King.

These men and women are probably some of the only few I’d love to see write an authorized Narnia sequel if such a thing happened, as they not only are versed in the genre, but they share Lewis’ faith.

But really, if anything, the real highlight was mocking GRRM for his procrastination. If there’s one thing the internet loves about Game of Thrones, after complaining about how the TV show ended, it’s mocking Martin for taking forever to finish his book series. If there’s another, it’s taking on other projects that only take time away from finishing said project.

From Paul: I really enjoyed coming up with and photoshopping the art for the story. The retro 90s look, putting together our own laser background for GRR Martin’s photo, and making all of the pictures look like they were taken in the 90s.

We already have ideas for next year. We decided, as Jonathon said above, not to mess with too much because the new Narnia gets closer every day, and we decided not to make their jobs harder by making our joke announcements. Back to Jonathon with the wrap-up.

I hope you enjoyed it, and look for more fun to come.
