NarnianPrincess had the opportunity to interview C.S. Lewis’ stepson Douglas Gresham about the progress on Prince Caspian. It’s a very fun and entertaining read, and we’d like to thank Mr. Gresham for taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer some questions that we’ve all had regarding the production.

“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” is the sequel to a blockbuster that reportedly cost $180 million and grossed more than $745 million worldwide. It begins shooting on February 12, 2007 in New Zealand and then moves to Prague before ultimately finishing production next August.

In episode 18, your host Andy Filipowich is joined by Roger Thomas (PrinceOfTheWest) and John Burkitt (EveningStar) to discuss location news for the upcoming Walden Media film of Prince Caspian. They also do a take on Book and Movie Talk and John performs his Byron on Wells story “A Beaver’s Responsibility”. We are gradually changing elements of the soundscape…let us know how we’re doing!

Thanks to “TheWhiteWolf”, and a site called “The Technos Guild,” we can confirm that Prince Caspian will be shot in Auckland, New Zealand during February and March 2007. After shooting wraps in New Zealand, filming moves for a heftier four months of production in Prague, Czech Republic. We’re not sure if the shoot will move to Ireland, as was rumor.

In episode 17, when host John Burkitt (EveningStar) and Austin Furey (CSLewisFan) get into it, anything is likely to happen. And it did. News, reactions, book and movie talk , and a poignant Byron on Wells story round off the program.

An actor is sought to play the role of Glenstorm in Prince Caspian. The requirement is for a male, aged 50+, black, preferably at least 6′ tall and of African descent, and with good upper body definition as he will be required to perform shirtless. The character is a Centaur, the leader of the Narnians. He is strong and imposing; dignified and honourable. Glenstorm is the father to many sons who fight alongside him in battle. This is the only role currently being cast.
