The OFFICIAL Paperb'nites Thread

Jim Brickman's songs, especially Rocket to the Moon, some third movement of a Sonatina, a Burgmuller, and a Bach. I like to play my church's hymns too.

I've been playing for 8 years. I have to go to a stinky piano camp today too, and I don't want to because everyone else there is so much better than me, lol. :D

Isn't he wonderful? I got to go to one of his workshops several months ago and play for him. It was AMAZING. He was really sweet too. His songs aren't actuallythat easy for me!!! Just cuz I've been playing for 8 years doesn't mean I'm any good. :) (I'm actually really rotten to tell you the truth) I love Angel Eyes and The Gift and Rocket to the Moon and all of them! He's so easy to listen to!

Well, Piano Camp should be fun. There will be some girls my age there, but my teacher is old and stuffy and quite the drama queen. :D She's an incredible pianist though. The reason I'm so mad is that I'll be missing the second swim meet in a row because of this piano camp.

......................................... *jaw drops*

You got to MEET HIM? You went to a workshop? and PLAYED FOR HIM?

*dies* That is so awesome!

Lol! I was like WOW!!! He immediately put me at ease, and he was really sweet. He is like SUPER skinny though. I don't think his wife feeds him enough cookies. (if he is married)

Speaking of cookies, may I please have one?
Marching band sounds better than piano camp! ;)

Sure -hands you giant plate of cookies-

Actually marching band really hurts!
I thought it would be just walking around playing but it's more exercise, and back breaking moves with ear bleeding music then anything.

Yikes! Well, I'll trade with you anyway, just to try something new. You can have some of my turkish delight if you want dearie. :)

Why thank you for the cookies! *munch* what kind are they?

I still think this thread should be moved to the Fan Clubs forum.

Ok, Ok. You win. ;)

Psha, Alla Turca.

No... The Moonlight Sonata version I'm playing is only 4 pages, so... I guess not.

How long have you been playing? I've been playing like 4 years.

I've been playing for eight and a half or nine years. I'm not exactly sure, I don't quite remember when I started. ;)

QA48, as an art student you must have heard of Dadaism. Consider this forum section to be infected with Dadaism.

Exactly! Good point, CF!

We embrace the irrational, the unconventional, the intuitive, with posts, topics, and threads always containing humorous and whimsical points (or lack thereof).

This thread is a Dada movement against the other 'Nites threads.

WHat exactly is "Dada"?

It was an art movement in the early 20th century that mocked the attitude of the Art world in general. Here in the U.S. it all started with Marcel Duchamp's upside down urinal:

A lot of the the "art" that was submitted by dadaists were ready made materials.

Hey everyone! Josh has agreed to be the official Graphics Specialist for us when he has time. :)

We need to brainstorm together to think of some ideas for anti-slandernite graphics!
