This page covers The Witch's Castle in the console and PC version of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The Witch's Castle is one of the richest cleanup stages in the console version because it mixes statue work, Susan's music, Lucy's tighter-route utility, and a castle layout that keeps rewarding players who slow down enough to read it properly.
Before you push forward
- Bring patience. This chapter has more hidden route value than a lot of the earlier levels.
- Use Susan and Lucy like a real pair. Susan controls the room; Lucy gets into the places that keep it moving.
Route and objective breakdown
- Use Susan’s panpipes to reveal and unlock what the room is actually hiding before you assume a chamber is empty.
- Let Lucy handle the crawl spaces, shoulder-check moments, and tighter accesses that keep the path from stalling.
- When black wraiths start filling the room, take them seriously. They are the main thing that makes the castle feel noisy and slow if you let them linger.
- Later in the chapter, weaken the relevant structures with Lucy’s route work and let Susan finish the collapse from a safer distance.
Common stuck points
- Castle feels like backtracking? You likely missed a Lucy route or a Susan music interaction.
- Too many wraiths? Clear them fast so they do not keep interrupting the statue work.
Completion and cleanup notes
If you care about cleanup, this is a stage worth replaying carefully. The Witch's Castle hides enough support value and route detail that a second pass usually feels dramatically better than the first.
Bonus tip
This level is a good reminder that the Narnia console game really likes to hide some of its best design inside quieter support work rather than just bigger fights.
