Review by linnyvinny
I took my children to this movie, slightly dreading it. I have loved the books so much for so long that I knew the movie would not do it justice. How wrong I was. It was brilliant! It wasn't exactly the way it is on my head, but some bits of it were very clsse and some bits were even better. I cried all through the movie, not because it was sad (though of course, some of it was), but because it was like visiting Narnia and finding it as beautiful and magical as I had always hoped. I am just sorry I had to leave.
Special mention goes to Aslan. I normally find CGI characters irritating and unconvincing, but he was totally convincing and as great and powerful as the book conveys. Tilda Swinton was incredible as the White Witch, she looked nothing like I expected, but she was chillingly evil and convincing.
All in all, it was spectacular - I have never seen a film adaptation that equalled the book before and I never expected to see one, but against all odds, Disney have done it
