Review by Matthew K
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe may just be the best movie I have ever seen.
Everything in the movie is so amazing(acting, special effects, music...) I couldn't believe it. That's why I've have seen it a total of 3 times and counting. I just can't get enough.
I liked it so much that I borrowed all the books from a friend, and read them all in two days.
A few days after seeing Narnia I went and saw King Kong. I left the theater after the movie saying to myself "Yea, that was an OK movie(great special effects, great sound) but it just feels like something is missing". So I spent the next couple of days thinking about what this movie(King Kong) was lacking.
And one day it hit me. There's just no spiritual, moral, or 'WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT' component to King Kong like there is in The Chronicles of Narnia.
Yea, King Kong has great special effects (they are actually better than Narnia, although not by much!), but there's just no "deeper meaning". All King Kong is, is a 30 foot gorilla smashing and bashing everything in sight except this one beautiful woman because he loves her or something! That's it to King Kong; there's absolutely nothing you can glean from it that applies to your personal life.
So that is why I think The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is one of the all time greats in movie history, because it has that deeper meaning to it !!!AND!!! a bunch of great acting, amazing computer effects, and great music. We just don't see a lot of both in Hollywood very much anymore :(.
