Upon first viewing, I thought it was EXCELLENT! Upon second viewing, I was disturbed by the technical issues of the film, but was still able to enjoy it. This proves that this film isn't your average one.
The only thing we didn't like was the immodesty demonstrated by Mrs. Tilda Swinton. (aka the white witch) Also, minor problems in the "Hunting of the White Stag" scene with the older Lucy and Susan.
My favorite part is when Lucy meets Tumnus. Georgie and James pulled the scene off very well. I jumped when Edmund stepped over Maugrim too- even after watching it once!
Note, I don't really think the film would of suffered if Father Christmas was left out. Our parents started to laugh when he came on scene. Well, I suppose it's all a personal preference, but since I don't believe in Father Christmas, I think it was silly. Sorry, Cosmo.
William's fight with Tilda was great but not enough. The phoenix was neat and so was Orieus' charge with the rhino. Good thinking.
Over all, I know we've been putting up a pretty sore review, but the film was great. Nothing can compare with real imagination though, but it was about as close as humans can possibly get.
