AICN talks Prince Caspian Footage

facility has secured lead VFX vendor status for the forthcoming Narnia;
Prince Caspian movie. This exciting news along with the growth of existing projects such as Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd, the Vince Vaughn starrer Fred Claus, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Roland Emmerich’s 10,000 BC means we are expanding our London based team and will be touring North America on the hunt for great talent to work on projects in production through to 2008.

Caspian CG work to be done by London companies

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian promises to be an even bigger visual spectacle than The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was — if that’s possible. However, in spite of the top-notch CG work done on LWW by companies like ILM, Rhythm + Hues, and Sony Imageworks, the producers of Caspian are apparently hiring different companies for the sequel, notably two British effects houses. Industry sources tell IGN Filmforce that Moving Picture Company and Framestore, both based in London, will be responsible for the bulk of the film’s digital effects.

A Change of Plans for Skandar and his Family

In “The Chronicles of Narnia,” the four Pevensie children are evacuated from London during the Blitz and sent to stay with an elderly professor in a house in the countryside. Last Wednesday evening, in an old Ottoman villa in West Beirut, Skandar Keynes, the fourteen-year-old actor who played Edmund Pevensie in last year’s film of “Narnia,” his mother, Zelfa, and his grandfather, Cecil Hourani, were packing their things and getting ready to evacuate.
