"Lead on, Marius. I'm sure you know the best paths to take. And I hope you understand why Aslan wants humans evacuated. Under these conditions, their continued presence inside Narnia would only make things worse for themselves AND for any other beings who try to help them."

OOC: I think the Southern Marches are next within our reach. We need to cross-check with other threads on passage of time; we should probably assume that a night passes before we arrive "in" the Southern Marches thread. More dialogue is possible still in this thread while we're in transit. Hopefully, Aravis-Y will rejoin us before we switch threads; we don't want Retaw left behind like a "Home Alone" movie.

OOC: Since Narnia is much wider than a city park, we need to assume some distance to cross before we enter "Southern Marches." At least an afternoon's trudge through the snow, and some kind of sleeping arrangement. Of course, we CAN just say, "We've done that, and now it's the next day;" but I'm concerned about getting out of sync with other players, and as far as I can tell, no one else has yet moved out of the first day on which action was occurring. So......

"What do you folks do to keep warm?" Ninecatcher asked both her companions. "I've never even SEEN snow before this quest, except on distant mountain peaks. It's COLD here!"

"Yeah I know every day is getting colder and colder, well we Gryphons use to grow lots of feathers, that keep us very warm in this time of year" said Retaw

OOC: It should be no problem for us three to meet your character as we travel. Note that the three of us are faithful to Aslan. If your character is in the resistance against Jadis, you might already be acquainted with Marius the Centaur. And if you know Marius, you could even be bringing him some information about events in the Southern March region the three of us are heading TO.

Sorry, must have posted at the same time as you sorry, Copperfox,

OOC Copperfox? do you know

Did you request a character, Driad?

OOC back: I honestly don't know if Driad54 has a character request processed. But we can meet him tomorrow instead of today, if necessary.

Far as I know, Driad54 hasn't had a character approved...but will want to do that in order to join you.

~ ~ At whatever time Lil Princess next posts as Marius the Centaur, Ninecatcher and Retaw can be assumed to be travelling with him as he leads.

"Find shelter. make shelters in the snow. Stay in the shadow of shelter as much as possible." Marius replies as they trudge through the snow. His voice the sternness of a soldier.

"My shelters will have to be many and scattered," replied Ninecatcher, "for I am commissioned by Aslan to seek Children of Adam and Eve, and help them escape out of Narnia. Marius, if you are not under a bond of secrecy on this point, are there fugitive humans directly participating in your own resistance campaign?"

Ninecatcher gave a feline version of a shrug, and kept on working at improving her gait for crossing snowy terrain: a skill she had never needed back home in Limtal.

~ ~ Just assume that we cover ground for several hours, then find a thicket, cave, or other sheltered place known to Marius, where we can all huddle together for warmth (a fire probably not being advisable).

After trudging for hours through through the snow, Marius leads them to a to the entrance of a cave. "Retaw, Ninecatcher, you scout for danger. I'll check the inside."
