I read the series when I was in elementary school, well before I read LotR and it has always been my favorite of the two. I am an agnostic, but that did not and does not affect my love of this movie. The characters were right, the screenplay true. (I got chills when I heard the line "always winter and never Christmas.") Aslan is as impressive as necessary, the witch is evil and Lucy is appallingly cute.
