This page covers Beaver Dam in the console and PC version of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Beaver Dam is the first level where a lot of players realize the game expects them to read boss phases, not just deal damage. The ogre encounter is much easier once you stop seeing it as chaos and start seeing it as a prompt-driven handoff fight.

Before you push forward

  • Stay calm when the icon prompts appear. The entire boss fight is built around them.
  • Let Susan do cleanup. Her job is often to keep the arena from becoming a distraction while the actual phase work happens.

Route and objective breakdown

  • Get Edmund the knife and use that as the start of the real boss pattern instead of trying to force regular hits.
  • When Lucy’s prompt appears, climb onto the ogre and blind him. This is not optional flavor. It is the next progression step.
  • When Peter’s icon appears, switch quickly and capitalize on the opening before the boss recovers.
  • Repeat the phase logic instead of improvising. Beaver Dam gets much smoother the moment you trust the handoff order.

Common stuck points

  • Boss fight feels random? It is not random. Wait for the icon and act on the correct child.
  • Getting overwhelmed by the side pressure? Use Susan to keep the arena readable while the phase character handles the boss action.

Completion and cleanup notes

Beaver Dam is one of the best replay stages in the game because boss knowledge changes everything. A fight that felt hectic the first time becomes almost elegant once you know the order: Edmund setup, Lucy phase, Peter punish, then reset and repeat.

Bonus tip

If you ever feel the fight slipping away, stop attacking and just watch for the next child-specific opening. The pattern comes back quickly when you stop freelancing.
