Book portrayal

Spivvins is one of the weaker boys at Experiment House in The Silver Chair, someone vulnerable to the gang culture that dominates the school. Eustace’s refusal to betray him under pressure is one of the early signs that Eustace has changed since his earlier selfishness.

Spivvins does not drive the Narnian adventure itself, but he matters to Eustace’s moral context before that adventure begins.
