Movie Appearances: None in a major released screen adaptation.
Biography: A sailor on the Dawn Treader whose cowardice and selfishness make him a memorable source of friction on the voyage.

Book portrayal

Pittencream, also called Dragonish, is one of the less admirable men aboard the Dawn Treader. Lewis uses him as a source of comic irritation and small-scale moral failure. He complains, dodges courage, and generally makes life harder for better people.

That sounds minor, but characters like Pittencream help keep the voyage from becoming too polished. Not everyone on the ship is noble. Some are weak, petty, and tiresome, which makes the stronger examples around them stand out more clearly.

Legacy in Narnia

Pittencream is hardly heroic, but he is memorable. He adds texture to the crew and reminds readers that Narnian adventures are not carried only by saints and champions.
