Nimienus

Book portrayal

Nimienus is a named faun in Prince Caspian and part of the older Narnian company gathered around Caspian’s claim. His role is small, but the use of a specific name helps the book’s hidden community feel less like a crowd and more like a people.

Lewis often handles minor old Narnians this way. A quick name and a race are enough to suggest a long history standing just behind the main action. Nimienus belongs to that wider history.
