Book portrayal
Stonefoot is one of the giants who still answers Narnia’s call in the last days of the old world. In The Last Battle, King Tirian asks Roonwit to gather help, and Stonefoot is among the loyal creatures summoned to stand against the Calormene takeover.
He is only mentioned briefly, but the detail helps show that Tirian’s cause had not been abandoned by every free creature in the land. Even with lies spreading and fear taking hold, there were still giants willing to come when Narnia needed them.
Stonefoot does not receive a long scene or a developed subplot, yet he fits the larger pattern of Lewis using named supporting figures to make the final resistance feel real. He belongs to the last remnant of old Narnia, the side still trying to answer falsehood with courage.
