Moonwood is a talking hare in The Last Battle whose hearing is so sharp that he can detect what is happening far away at Cair Paravel. That gift makes him one of the creatures through whom news and warning move across the endangered kingdom.
He is a small character, but a good example of Lewis giving minor Narnians specific abilities that matter. Moonwood is not important because he is powerful. He is important because he is attentive when attention is desperately needed.
