Book portrayal
Erimon is one of the noble Telmarine lords who suffer under Miraz’s paranoia in Prince Caspian. He belongs to the older generation loyal to Caspian IX, and that alone makes him dangerous in the usurper’s eyes.
Lewis mentions Erimon among the lords executed on false charges of treason. The detail is brief, but it tells readers a great deal about the political climate before Caspian’s birthright is reclaimed. Miraz does more than seize power. He secures it by eliminating respected men who might preserve memory of the rightful line.
That gives Erimon a small but important place in the background history of the book. He is one of the names that makes Miraz’s regime feel bloody and real, and one more sign that Caspian grows up inside a kingdom already thinned by fear.
