Book portrayal
Lord Argoz is one of the Seven Great Lords sent away during Miraz’s rule and sought by Caspian in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Like the other lost lords, he represents a broken link between Caspian’s present reign and the men who had been loyal to his father.
Argoz is eventually found on Ramandu’s island, lying in enchanted sleep beside the other lords at Aslan’s Table. That image gives his page a little more shape than some of the minor political names in the series. He is not just a missing nobleman in backstory. He becomes part of the spiritual and geographical mystery of Caspian’s eastward voyage.
His role also helps explain why the quest matters. Caspian is not sailing east only for adventure. He is trying to recover a lost piece of Narnia’s political memory, and Argoz is one of the men bound up in that search.
