Book portrayal

Lucy is the first Pevensie to enter Narnia and the child who most consistently sees truly. Her courage is not loud, but it is steady. She believes before the others do, follows Aslan when others hesitate, and remains open to wonder without becoming foolish.

Lewis also gives Lucy some of the series’ most human tests. In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, her temptation is bound up with beauty, comparison, and the pain of overhearing what others think. That makes her holiness feel lived rather than abstract. She is valiant partly because she keeps choosing truth when pride or loneliness would be easier.

Adaptation portrayals

Adaptations usually understand Lucy well. They may shift emphasis toward innocence or sentiment, but her central qualities remain faith, honesty, and stubborn love.
