Book portrayal

Slinkey is a fox who fights on the side of Rishda Tarkaan in The Last Battle. That alignment shows that foxes in Narnia are not locked into one moral shape. Slinkey shows that a clever creature may use those gifts badly.

His role is brief, but it contributes to the book’s civil-war sadness. Not every talking beast remains loyal to Tirian when Narnia is under its deepest pressure.
