Book portrayal
Reepicheep is one of the greatest supporting characters in the Chronicles, small in size and enormous in soul. In Prince Caspian he is fierce, ceremonious, and almost comically brave, yet Lewis never lets the courage become a joke. Reepicheep’s dignity is real.
In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, that courage deepens into longing. His search for Aslan’s Country turns the character from a delightfully valiant mouse into one of the series’ clearest pictures of holy desire. By The Last Battle, his earlier faithfulness has become part of Narnia’s remembered honor.
Adaptation portrayals
Adaptations usually emphasize Reepicheep’s wit and swordsmanship, but the heart of the character is his chivalric seriousness and his willingness to go further than the rest.
